  1. Thank you so much for showing election results! I’m so glad to see valley edge going down! Hope it hold. Anyways, having updates is a great service to the community. 🙂

  2. Sad, really sad, that a well developed general plan could be met with so much hostility from a community that claims to value the environment and accessibility.

    • Nothing says “valuing the environment” like Valley Edge’s proposal to destroy Chico’s oak savannas and vernal pools! Who needs those pesky endangered species that live there anyway? 🙂

    • No hostility here, just a preference for in-fill development for Chico instead of high-end suburban sprawl. The developers are focused on profits. We are focused on a sustainable community without encroaching on our precious open space. Developers may not make the profit margins they want, but that is a small price to pay for keeping Chico a gateway to nature.

  3. Way good on the Valley’s Edge development going down in flames. Myself, I don’t even live in Butte County. I used to, from 1996 to 2000, but now live in L.A. County (Long Beach). Still, I congratulate you, the Butte County electorate, for stopping this obscenity at the ballot box, and am happy for you for your recent victory. Resist the power!
