Streetalk: Should kids go back to school next month?

Asked in downtown Chico.

Mackenzie Teal
barista
I get both sides of it because my sister wants to see her friends and everything, but I think that at this point it’s more important for the health of the kids to not go back. It will be easy to spread the [COVID-19] virus in close proximity in classrooms.

Solomon Broughton
furniture store associate
I think it’s dangerous. It’s a huge risk.

Kenneth Kayo
delivery driver
It shouldn’t happen. It’s too early. We’re still having spikes here and there, but I don’t think it should happen yet.

Matt Reinemann
grocery store employee
I’m not too educated on it, but I don’t think it’s a good idea as long as we have to wear masks. Kids are always touching things, you know?
