New music today (whichever day this is)

Evin Wolverton

Chico’s shelter-in-place soundtrack has some new tracks this week:

Longtime Chico music dude Cameron Ford splits his musical time these days between his solo pop-rock works and his chill Yoga Beats releases. For his latest, he collaborated with local guitarist Will Watje (of the uber-popular local party band Decades) on Hendrix and Chill, a mix of “lo-fi” Jimi Hendrix instrumentals for yoga-ing or otherwise chillaxing. Find it on Spotify, Apple Music or at link above.

Local troubadour Evin Wolverton has combined his angelic voice with some impressive percussive acoustic guitar fingerpicking on a gorgeous new song called “Higher Places.”

If you are a local music-maker who is getting creative during the lockdown, please let me know where I can find it online and I’ll do my best to share your tunes with the town.
