Thur Nov. 20, 7:30pm; Doors open 7:00pm
Laxson Auditorium
400 W. First St.
Manuel Cinema is an Emmy-winning performance collective and film/video company that takes a unique approach to film and live theatre. Their signature style blends handmade shadow puppetry, vintage overhead projectors, live-feed cameras and cinematic techniques with the actors in silhouette. And, it’s all witnessed without dialog or narration, instead, unfolding the story with live music. This latest creation is a fantastic tale that follows a young girl orphaned by the warlord Macbeth, escaping into a dark forest, rescued and then raised by one from a 3-pack of witches. The title, The 4th Witch, implies the outcome. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Tickets $49-$59, with discounts for Chico State students and youth. Check the CN&R calendar for more information.
