If you can’t remember reading Little Women in seventh grade, now you can experience Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel come to life on stage. It’s the story of the four March sisters growing up in mid-19th century New England as seen through the eye’s of budding writer Jo March. The story was first adapted as a musical on Broadway in 2005 and now Chico State’s Theatre Dept. presents its as their spring musical. This classic tale explores themes of family, love, and the challenges of growing up, all with a backdrop of song with full orchestra. Tickets: $10-$22, available at Box Office. Chico Tweed Ride

What could be more serene than cycling through Lower Bidwell Park on a Spring day? Add your most creative vintage tweed-wear, a picnic basket and several other happy cyclists, and you’ve got an idyllic social event. Originating in the UK in 2009, tweed rides celebrate the elegance of cycling in a bygone era. The rides have since spread globally, including to Chico. This free event is open to all cyclists.
