Take a big batch of local, veteran talent in music, theatre and dance performance. Then add a scoop of AGT-style acts and just a pinch of Keep Chico Weird and you’ve got Legacy Stage’s Fringe Festival. Inspired by Edinburgh, Scotland’s event of the same name, where else will you find: live music of all genres including rock, world, experimental; live theatre including horror, musical cabaret with drag/burlesque, mystery, fantasy, absurdist and thriller; improv and stand-up comedy; pole & lyra (aerial hoop) performance art; historical and comedic storytelling; stargazing, and much more. More than 50 individual events starting Friday afternoon 8/29, plus a kick-off party at monca on Thursday 8/28. This bassist/composer/producer returns to Chico with sounds of funk and jazz fused with electronic rhythms to yield his style of electro-pop. Labor Day on the Aquatic Forebay

If it’s time to chill, here’s the place. Come for a picnic, stay for a relaxing float or paddling on the serene forebay of Lake Oroville.
