Oroville music lovers got a perfect 80-degree afternoon of blue skies and gentle breezes Sunday while relaxing in Riverbend Park. Attendees spread themselves around the lawn from one gazebo to the other as they listened to the James Drips Band, which hit them with a fun, lively combination of spiced-up classic rock and alt-90s-sing-alongs, and even managed to toss some energetic originals into the mix. A bevy of dog-lovers walking their canine companions along the Feather River stopped to listen to the performance. Family were also gathering in the yard games area or stopping by the face-painting booth as tunes carried in the air, while Som’s Kitchen cooked up hot Lao and Thai dishes and the Roaming Spirit beverage trailer churned out dirty soda and lemonade. The Fall Concerts in the Park series is put on by the Feather River Parks and Recreation District. For more information, visit their website here.
