The Normal Heart

Based on the Tony Award-winning playwright’s own experience battling the AIDS epidemic in 1980s New York City, this drama follows the struggles of Ned Weeks who founded the Gay Men’s Health Crisis. Spark ‘n’ Cinder

Maker’s Muse Street Fair

They’re transforming three blocks of Orange Street into an all-day, free event that includes live music, local vendors, food trucks, the Kid’s Zone including a bouncy house slide and more. Visit three neighboring art galleries, see staged events including fashion show, music, comedy and arts movement. Smokey The Groove

Chico’s favorite party band includes jazzy guitar, full horns, heavy bass and powerful drumming backing their original vocals. Help Smokey The Groove (shown here) celebrate 10 years of bringing their signature funkadelic sound to fans all over the West coast. Show includes an electronic set with Modern Methods. The Amity Affliction

The Amity Affliction, Hail The Sun, Many Eyes, Unwell

Buckle up for post-hardcore punk, metal and heavier metal. Unwell consists of five members based in Detroit. Chico’s own Hail The Sun gets creative with post-hardcore and emo mix. Many Eyes, with a new album, is on tour from the East coast. Australia’s The Amity Affliction (shown here) brings it all to a head as they’ve consistently been an ARIA chart-topper and tours worldwide.
