City meetings tonight

A preview of what's on tap at Chico and Oroville council meetings tonight

This week’s meetings:

Chico City Council

The centerpiece of this week’s meeting is a public hearing on two requests related to the proposed Orchard Creek Estates subdivision near the intersection of Nord and East avenues (in an unincorporated area within the city’s “sphere of influence”). The project was denied by the Planning Commission. Read the staff report online.

Items on the regular agenda include discussions related to water conservation, reconsideration of the ban on post-midnight alcohol sales on certain busier-than-normal days, clean up of sediment in Lindo Channel and improvements to lighting on bike paths.
