Dixie incident at 500 acres; evacuation warning in place

Cal Fire announced Tuesday night (July 13) that a new wildfire dubbed the Dixie Fire had sparked at 5:12 p.m. above Cresta Dam in the Feather River Canyon. According to Cal Fire Butte Unit Twitter updates, the fire spread to 500 acres and was at zero percent containment as of 8 a.m.

The Dixie Fire is burning adjacent to the northeast edge of the Camp Fire burn scar.

At 9:20 a.m. , Butte County Sheriff issued an evacuation warning for the Pulga and east Concow areas. Visit the Sheriff’s office website for a link to the current evacuation map, or call 833-512-5378.
