Adventist Health reveals changes

In announcing the April 1 opening of a walk-in clinic in Paradise, Adventist Health Feather River also revealed it will suspend its hospital license and affiliate the associated services and facilities with Adventist Health and Rideout in Marysville, effective May 7.

According to a press release from Adventist Health’s PR firm last Thursday (March 14), the California Department of Public Health requires a hospital to be open to keep an active license. Paradise’s hospital has been closed since the Camp Fire, Nov. 8 (see “Medical migration,” cover story, March 14).

The new clinic will operate weekdays within the existing Feather River Health Center at 5125 Skyway.
