It’s a gathering of local music groups to jam in the iconic sound of reggae and the Grateful Dead. The crew has performed 500+ live shows, including frequent tributes to the Grateful Dead. They released a fourth album, Chantress of Amun, in 2024. Also performing is Dylan’s Dharma (shown here), a unique reggae-fusion band that’s spent more than a decade building a following from their Helltown roots in Butte Creek Canyon. The group released its latest album, Astro Man, earlier this month. Completing the circle is a group of veteran local talents, banding together For the Love of Bob, paying homage to Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir. Tickets online. The Sun Kings–Beatles tribute
Sat, May 23, 6:30pm
Paradise Performing Arts Center
777 Nunneley Rd., Paradise
The acclaimed tribute band is coming to the North State as part of their Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! 2026 tour. The group was once hailed by Rolling Stone as “close to the Beatles as possible.” They are known for their authenticity emulating “The Lads from Liverpool” with each member of the band doing a surreal, accurate impersonation of each member of the original group, all without added theatrics. This performance also serves as a benefit for Resolute Promise, an organization dedicated to finding support for missing-in-action American service members. Tickets online. Check the CN&R calendar for more information.
