Birdcage Theatre
1740 Bird St., Oroville
The Reluctant Debutante makes her entrance at Oroville’s Birdcage Theater with all the charm and chaos of a classic romantic comedy, pitting familial obligation against the pull of true love. Written by William Douglas-Home and later adapted into a 1958 film starring real-life couple Rex Harrison and Kay Kendall, the story still sparkles with wit. This local production, directed by Raquel and Wes Holmstrom, also offers an additional Saturday matinee for a special Valentine’s Day outing. Your premium (optional) ticket purchase includes a pre-show tea service at the historic Ehmann Home Museum, adding extra vintage flair to Feb. 14. Tickets online or at the door, with discount pricing for Thursday shows. Check the CN&R calendar for more information.
