Tommy Castro & The Painkillers

They’re baaaack! Tommy Castro is a multi-award winning blues/R&B master with guitar and vocals, releasing 17 albums. He and the Painkillers are dropping into the Big Room to deliver their soul-shaking music, and enjoying it all the way. LeAnn Rimes

It all started when a very young contestant took to the stage on the Star Search TV show, launching her singing career with country favorites. In the 1990s LeAnn Rimes became unstoppable, producing country and crossover chart-topping hits. Today the Grammy-winning, multi-platinum selling acclaimed singer/songwriter is on a world tour with a stop here in the North Valley. Frontwoman Suika T and band return to Chico, best known for their electrifying fusion of psychedelic cumbia, Latin hip-hop, electro-cumbia, funk, reggae, and world jazz. Besides vocals, guitars, bass and drums, this 8-person crew brings congas, sax and more percussion for the ultimate Latin music jam. Joining them is Modesto’s Valley Wolf, playing a blend of Latin soul, psychedelic rock, punk, and mariachi flourishes. A dance party all night. Must be 21+. Joe Samba with the Wheeland Brothers

Joe Sambataro (aka Samba) grew up in a musical family with influences of funk, soul, and later ska and reggae. Touring with a full band, expect to hear cuts from their latest album Lifeline. And it’s still summer, so joining them are the Wheeland Brothers from Orange County. On their “Make My Summer” tour, these beach boys perform their own version of “beach rock reggae”. Can’t stop the dancing, but the ticketing site warns: “No crowdsurfing/moshing”. Tickets online and available locally at Diamond W Western Wear. This JMax production is all ages.
