Hard Rock Live at
Hard Rock Casino Sacramento
3317 Forty Mile Rd., Wheatland
Platinum-selling crooner Chris Isaak keeps the heartache humming four decades into a career that launched in 1989 with the release of Heart Shaped World — home to the slow burn hit “Wicked Game.” With 13 albums to his name and a catalog built on reverb-drenched romance, Isaak also carved out a film résumé with roles in The Silence of the Lambs, True Romance and That Thing You Do!, plus producing soundtracks for other films. The rockabilly and soft rock musician will be accompanied by his longtime band Silvertone (shown here) at this event. Tickets online.

G. Love & Special Sauce
Wed March 4, 7:00pm-9:30pm: Doors open 6:00pm
Sierra Nevada Big Room
1075 E. 20th St.
A fusion of hip-hop and blues hits the Sierra Nevada Big Room as “slacker blues” quartet G. Love & Special Sauce rolls through town. Fronted by G. Love — aka Garrett Dutton — (shown here), the groove merchants for this tour include drummer Chuck Treece and string bassist “Jimi Jazz” Prescott. The Philadelphia band, first formed in 1993, now celebrates the 20th anniversary of their Lemonade album release with a tour of the same name. Expect harmonica-laced hooks, easygoing rhymes and plenty of head-nodding rhythm and dancing as they revisit laid-back classics alongside cuts from 2020’s The Juice. Also on this tour and opening the show is Hawaiian-born Makua Rothman performing reggae-fusion, soul and pop. Tickets online for this all-ages show. Check the CN&R calendar for more information.
