The glorious conquerors approach!
This is the 40th year for Best of Chico, and it’s been more fun than ever. After several months of online campaigning, a nominations round, and a final voting round, the Chico News & Review announces the 2025 Best of Chico Winners’ Showcase on August 22.
During those same past months, everyone behind the scenes working on the project has had plenty of opportunity to practice their Shakespearean tongue in this Renaissance Faire-themed event. And we’ve all seen a lot of purple and gold.
By what rare virtue or exalted worth do these prevail above their rivals, and shine as stars?
Incredibly, we had more than 9,000 voters partake, and many gave their opinion as to why a particular candidate was the best. Here is a sampling:
