Get this love weekend started with your special Valentine while listening to this musical treat. Grass Valley recording artist Peter Wilson will combine his singer/songwriter/guitarist skills with Chicoan Glenn Tucker on keyboards and vocals on Feb. 13. If you want even more of the duo, their follow-up show on Feb. 14 will include Bass & Beers, and fire dancing will keep the evening hot. $5 cash cover on Thursday and $10 cash cover on Friday. The Mother Hips Duo Doubleheader

Keep the Valentine’s Day momentum going with two back- to-back shows. The beloved Mother Hips band was formed 30 years ago by then-students of Chico State. They’ve produced 12 studio albums, including When We Disappear. Co-founders Tim Bluhm and Greg Loiacono will provide a selection of the music you love. Love is Dysfunctional Comedy Show

This week’s Dysfunctional Friday show will have a romantic twist. Celebrate love at it’s funniest with host Will Bell and comedians “Dream date” Jessy Jaymes, “I’m not subtle” Stephanie Tuttle, “Surprisingly single” Sam Mallett and “Lovesick” Leah Tamara. Tickets $10 or two for $15 in advance, available online or in person at Bidwell Perk.

Country Music with Chad Bushnell

Feb. 15, 8:00pm

Bushnell’s music is filled with love and homage to his family and faith. His lineage includes four generations of cowboys and singers, some who’ve shared the stage with the late Bob Hope. While Bushnell’s jams are packed with Americana spirit and Christian country roots, he still finds time to work with his family’s livestock ranch while writing his country songs. The Sun Followers

Finish your love weekend with a performance by Chico’s vocal-harmony duo. Ben Ruttenburg and Samantha Francis are partners in life and share their winding love story using guitar and vocals.
