Promote positive health by attending or sharing information about cancer screenings. January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month and the Soroptimist International of Chico is working with local medical providers to set up cancer screening clinics. Inspire’s 15th Annual Performing Arts Gala 2025

Students and staff will present their classwork and extracurricular actives at this year’s annual Gala. Under the theme “Be the light for others to see by”, students will showcase their work in music, theater, film and more. Get an opportunity to learn what being a student at Inspire is like. There will also be a Q&A at 4:00pm for potential new students. Tickets are $10 for Inspire students and children 13 and under; $12 for Inspire alumni and other students; $15 general admission.
2025 Crab (or Fillet Mignon) Feed Fundraiser

Help local youth get the medical assistance they need with this tasty fundraiser. The Chico Shrine Club will be providing a full menu of delicious food that includes 8oz. crab or bacon-wrapped fillet mignon, salad, two hard boiled eggs, 9 prawns, clam chowder, bread and for dessert, pineapple upside-down cake. The Shriners are a group dedicated to getting Northern California kids the medical aid they need. Tickets are limited. Call 530-893-3171 with your contact information.

The Butte Environmental Council, a non-profit founded in 1975, states their mission is to protect land, air and water in Butte County. Starting this month they will be holding BEC socials where BEC members, volunteers and community members are invited for a no host social hour at Ramble West Brewery.
