Hear Me Out: How Storytelling Helps Us Heal

From the popular Chico Bonfire Storytelling events is storyteller and licensed psychologist Dr. Juni Banerjee-Stevens. In this one-hour workshop led by Stevens you’ll learn how sharing your personal stories can unpack emotions and help you through hard times. Welcome Back to the World Book Launch

Join local author Rob Davidson for a book launch of his latest release Welcome Back to the World, followed by book signings. Davidson is a writer, scholar and English Professor at Chico State. He will do a reading from this collection of short stories, the compelling theme of which reminds us that hope is visible in the darkest of times. Work on the book began in 2017, while Davidson was on a Fulbright in Taiwan. The event is free.

Cana Road Band

Dance to a vibrant night filled with energetic tunes and good vibes powered by local music group, the Cana Road Band. These six musicians and vocalists deliver everything from soulful blues to high-intensity rock, plus a few new tunes. This is a show all ages can enjoy. $5 cash cover for the band.

Holiday Spectacular | North State Symphony

Additional concerts in Chico and Redding

Embrace the holiday spirit with this festive, end-of-year concert featuring classical and joyous music. The show will be led by guest conductor Dana Sadava, who will help ring in the holiday season and conclude with a carol sing-along. Sadava has guest-conducted with other orchestras such as the San Diego Symphony, Opera San Jose and Symphony of the Redwoods. Check the CN&R calendar for more information.

Christmas with the Stage Whispers

Dec. 14, 7:30pm and Dec. 15, 2:00pm

Celebrate Christmas time on the Ridge with the Stage Whispers. Fresh from their appearance at Legacy Stage’s A Christmas Carol, this quartet of Chico theatre singers brings a collection of vocal harmonies using their signature a cappella sound.
