Making Music with Jimmy Becker

Create some new fave tunes with LA rock artist Jimmy Becker. This high-energy group plays a variety of covers from multiple eras in music history ranging from the 60s to the 2000s. Also, expect to see Brian Illes on drums and percussion, Scott Shaw on guitar and Scott Brogden on harmonica, vocals, and bass. No cash cover.

J Boog and Arise Roots

Reggae will be king at this event. Two-time Grammy nominee J Boog (pictured) is a West Coast artist influenced by his Polynesian upbringing and mentored by Island Reggae icon Fiji. Arise Roots emerged on the reggae scene in LA in 2010 and since then the six-member music group has been creating a fresh roots-reggae sound. In 2016, they released a popular single “Rootsman Town” featuring Capelton, gaining millions of views on YouTube. Check the CN&R calendar for more information.

Comedy Night at Bidwell Perk

Grab some comfy snacks and drinks and joke around with local comedians for “Dysfunctional Friday.” Hosted by Pistol Packin’ Jessy Jaymes, this show will feature multiple stand ups including Jeff Jones, Amber Pace, Jerm Leather and Sacramento Sweetheart Amy Thompson. Object Heavy and The Gold Souls

Soak up these funky NorCal music groups as they play a night filled with soul, funk and groove. Object Heavy (pictured) hails from Arcata with music that’s been making waves across the state and earned the title of Best Band in Humboldt in 2022. Sacramento is providing some of their own musicians, The Gold Souls, a Capitol-area funk, soul and blues group with a classic sound. Mark 3 and Slide Tackle at Tackle Box

Rock on and hear Mark 3, the power-rock quartet (pictured) based in Oroville. Along with a growing library of original music, they play classic cover songs of groups such as AC/DC, Green Day and more.
